The methods were -
1. Setting up a proxy server, or a proxy lister/topsite was one of the ideas.
As a matter of fact, proxy was a fruitful niche in itself and i tried a go with www.ReallyAnonymous.com. The attempt was not a fully prepared one, and i faced many challenges like difficulty in getting a good script for it, finding good content for SEO (i wrote a few articles myself, so).
But in all, the attempt was not good and the project didn’t rise even an inch from the ground.
2. Niche marketing, in low competition niches.
This too was not as successful as desired, but wasn’t a failure like the proxy. I identified a few niches, and have started the work. I am planning to continue the development of those sites even more. I have written some pretty good articels for it and have made quite a buzz of it on certain promising sectors. The result is showing improvement and development, but the income from that is not to be seen in the next few months, so that too failed as an attempt for a quick income.
3. This was the one i want to talk more about because it was involved either as a main factor, or sideline but influencing factor for any of the projects i mentioned.
Can you guess what it is? Yes, it is article writing/content development. There is no doubt on the fact that originl and new content is a double plus-point in SEO, SEM and all related programs. Google and most of the main search engines make it a part of their algorithm to identify and reward sites with original and new content.
So, article writing is an important aspect of any online or offline marketing program. You will find many marketers looking for content for their sites, and/or products. If you can write good articles, original and new then there are many buyers ready to take it for premium or good rates.
Nowadays due to the receding recession, the market is livening up, but there are still a lot of providers, so the ongoing price for a rewrite or unoriginal content may be about $1 per 100 words or so.
But my suggestion is that you commit to a minimum high quality and provide only original and unique content. For this, i would suggest charging around $2-3 per 100 words and then once you have established a brand, you can charge and get upto $5 per 100 words or even more.
