I have stressed this, i do not know how many times. Writing articles is a damn good way of hitting 3 birds with the same stone. Wow, three birds with one stone? Yeah, it is true. And maybe, more than three. Now I am way outta line, right? Nope read on.
You see, today’s world revolves around the sun, no i mean INFORMATION. Yeah, it is the information age. If you can create it or transmit it or do both, then you are the king. Take for example all the latest web ventures that made good recently, FaceBook, Twitter, and what not. What do they all do and have in common? That they are Social Networks? Nope, you are wrong? Even CEO of Twitter, Evan Williams, says Twitter is NOT. They are similar in that, they are services which allow for transmitting and delivery of information, information created by its users.
So, rather than making information that others sell, i say that you should concentrate on information that you can sell too. Write articles on any topic. Today there are over a billion internet users and this is almost nearing the two billion mark. See the image below for statistics.
So, you see? The possibilities are endless. You have people of all types looking for all types of information. So, writing articles in any topic or niche will not go waste in today’s age. Start writing. Don’t decide that you are not a writer before you actually try. You need not be good with imagination like Charles Dickens; you can write even your travel memoirs and a lot of people are interested in reading it. Wouldn’t you like to read descriptions of places you cannot or could not visit from people who did? I would, so would many others. See, people like to read, and they want you to provide them content to read.
Writing a blog can be an easy means of creating content and publishing it, but sometimes you could get so mad creating and maintaining blogs, some of us do get. Then you can try writing for other bloggers in the niche. (I’ll provide you with domain name, hosting and blog maintenance service 100% free if you are a dedicated wannabe blogger, i promise. I’ll fund you.)
Or you can sell content that you make. It creates the 3 bird effect that i talked about. You get paid, you improve your writing and language skills, and you brand yourselves. See. You can create content and publish them on sites like the ones i have mentioned below to earn money. You see, the issue of finding traffic is greatly minimized when you publish your content to these networks because they inherently have a lot of traffic already. There are a lot of these sites and it is impossible to mention them all, but i’ll try to bring up some now and many later in my other upcoming articles.
1. Bukisa
Bukisa is a site that i have been using for sometime now. Their compensation rates are moderately good and their platform is easy to use and also free to join.
2. Fortitude
Fortitude is another very good platform where the content gets a higher renumeration at times because of their unique setup. But, Fortitude requires you to pay an annual fee, small amount still. Join Fortitude. It has a free option also where you can work as a Scout. Fortitude offers more options by paying you for reviewing other writers contents also.
3. Triond
Triond is another place where you can submit your content and get paid in terms of views and Google AdSense revenues. Triond has a pleasant interface and is very easy to use.

UPDATED on July 1st 2011: The methods to make money are now more than the total number of people on this planet. Yeah.
